My first stop: Philly

by Joseph Workman

We stayed in the wee town of Media and crashed with my cuz Paul and his wife Sonja (wife of two years). They recieved us with open arms and a warm floor. They told us tales of their monster fish, Butch and Bruno.

We visited the city of Philadelphia, where we let freedom ring. We saw where the first United States Supreme court met-I am thankful for all our founding fathers did to establish this nation. We walked for miles, and miles, and miles. Sadly, we recieved a parking violation for twenty-six buckaroos. ARRRRGH....matey!

I'm a Pat's guy for sure. By that, I mean Pat's King of Steaks in downtown Philly. That's right, we waited one hour in line for Geno's-right across the street-Pat's fierce rival. Wit whiz was my reply, and man, it was gooood. Too bad Stephen got sent to the back of the line for not ordering it right (just kidding).

Onward to the Big Apple, where our crew plans to take a few bites. We're staying with my Aunt and Uncle from Long Island until Tuesday. Our plan is to serve a gentleman who's apart of the fellowship through painting some rooms and enjoy the Bronx's best pizza in the world-Defarra.

So, I'll let you go now, as I dip my double-stuffed Oreo into some fresh Skippy peanut butter. MMM.....

  3. Oh and we got 2 of your post cards. Which was awesome. I walked into work with a grimace on my face (8 trainees this week, 3 more next week plus a wedding) and saw the post cards sitting by the computer in the office and smiled at them. They are now hanging up by the side work lists. :)
